Supervision

Lorraine is an experienced Accredited Supervisor with 30 years of diverse clinical experience in the Not For Profit Sector and Private Practice. Lorraine has a passion for providing supervision that provides a safe and non-judgemental reflective space to understand the why and how of excellent ethical clinical practice.  Lorraine works with social workers, counsellors and therapists to help them deepen their understanding of their work, to increase their skill set and to develop theory into practice. Lorraine has a commitment to the necessity for self-care to be imbedded into daily work and home life due to the demands of clinical practice. Lorraine has extensive experience in worker burnout and vicarious trauma.

Lorraine has a passion for assisting supervisees to deeply understand the conscious and unconscious drivers that affect decision making in clinical practice and case management. Lorraine seeks to move beyond case discussion, to developing the ability to reflect on one’s actions, so as to engage in a process of continuous learning. Lorraine is an experience group facilitator of ACT based groups and groups promoting better mental health. Lorraine is an experienced, Australian Counselling (ACA) Supervisor. Lorraine has completed Advanced Supervision training with The Bouverie Centre and Advanced Reflective Practice training with Berry Street. Lorraine is currently offering 1:1 Supervision and Group Supervision subject to demand.
